A request to humanity:
A few days back I saw a heart-wrenching post circulating all over the Internet in which a seagull’s feet were tangled in a surgical face mask. As it’d been there for a while the poor bird’s feet and joints were swollen. Followed by this incident there are a lot of more in which the sea/beaches are full of the disposed masks and human personal protection equipment is littered carelessly. These are all over the earth now.
"We human beings have saved ourselves from the deadliest virus by taking precautionary measures but who’d save the wildlife and earth environment from our precautions."
It is highly requested from all of humanity to educated yourselves and the people living around you to dispose of masks properly and responsibly. These used masks are not only affecting wildlife and the environment but it can also be damaging for us as well. There are some important things to take care while disposing of your masks :
Remove the mask from behind and don’t touch the front of the mask
snip off the strips of the mask before
Discard it responsibly in a dustbin
Wash your hand immediately after disposing of the mask.
Avoid throwing your used masks/gloves in house, roads or anywhere other than a dustbin
